This How To... describes items and functions that may be performed within my|CalPERS. These steps provide the most common way to complete the functions, but they may not provide all possible options. Depending on your security role(s), you may have limited access to view or update certain items and functions on this page.

 

 

How to Register with my|CalPERS (for Participants only)

Select the Log In link.

Pre-Login Page

Select the Participant radio button.

 

Select the Continue button.

Log in to my|CalPERS Page

In the New User? section, select the Register Now link.

Registration Steps Page

Select appropriate radio button.

 

Select the Continue button.

Security Agreement Page

Select the I Agree button.

User Identification Page

In the User Identification section, provide the user identification information.

 

Select the Continue button.

Participant Validation Questions Page

In the Participant Validation section, answer the questions.

 

Select the Continue button.

Challenge Questions Page

In the Update Your Challenge Questions section, select your five challenge questions and answers.

 

Select the Save and Continue button.

Login Credentials Page

In the Login Credentials section, enter your username, password, and confirmation of password.

 

Select the Save button.

In the Challenge Questions section, answer the challenge questions.

 

Select the Continue button.

Login Credentials Page

In the Login Credentials section, enter and confirm your new password.

 

Select the Save button.

In the Login Credentials section, enter your current password, enter and confirm your new password.

 

Select the Save button.

Select Business Partner Category Page

In the Select Business Partner Category section, your organization's business partner category.

 

Select the Continue button.

Business Partner Information Page

Enter your organization's information.

 

Select the Save & Continue button.

Confirm Address Page

Select the radio button for the correct address.

 

Select the Confirm button.

Business Partner Information Page

Select the Save & Continue button.

Login Credentials Page

In the Login Credentials section, enter your username, password, and confirmation of password.

 

Select the Save button.
