Log in to my|CalPERS Page


On this page you can log in to my|CalPERS. You will have three attempts to log in. After three unsuccessful log in attempts, your profile locks for 30 minutes before you can try again. After your profile locks twice, you should try changing your password and then log in again. If you are still unable to log in, please contact CalPERS for assistance, toll-free at 888 CalPERS or 888-225-7377.



To log in to my|CalPERS as a participant, you must be a member or non-member, retiree, community property payee, beneficiary, survivor, subscriber, dependent, conservator, guardian or trustee for a member or non-member. You must also create a unique username and provide a password. The registration process verifies you are a participant with CalPERS. After registration, you must log in. If you forget your username, you may request it. If you forget your password, you may change it.

To log in to my|CalPERS as a business partner contact, you must be a representative of a public agency, State of California, school, reciprocal retirement system, health carrier, medical vendor group, independent medical examiner, job assessor, direct authorization organization, or service provider registered with CalPERS. Your system administrator will provide you with access to my|CalPERS, which includes a log in username and password. If you forget your username, you must contact your organization’s system administrator to provide it to you. If you forget your password, you may change it.

As an organization’s system administrator, you may register your organization with CalPERS if it is one of the following: a public agency, a State of California agency, a school, a reciprocal retirement system, a health carrier, a medical vendor group, a direct authorization organization, or a service provider. You may also register as a business partner if you are an independent medical examiner or job assessor. As part of registering your organization and providing basic information, you will create a profile with my|CalPERS for yourself and receive a username and temporary password. This will allow you to log in and provide additional information related to the relationship or contract/agreement you are requesting. Once your organization is approved, your username and password are finalized. You will then be responsible for registering additional contacts (or users) for your organization and providing them with usernames and passwords.

In this section, enter your username and password to log in to my|CalPERS. If forgotten, you may request to view your username or to change your password.




Your log in name, provided by my|CalPERS. Usernames are case sensitive and must consist of 6 to 35 characters, contain no spaces, start with a letter, and are not case sensitive. Valid characters are numbers, letters, and the following special characters: at signs (@), periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-).


Your password. Passwords are at least 8 characters long, contain no spaces, and are case sensitive.  Valid characters are numbers, letters, and special characters. The password must contain at least 3 of the 4 character types: uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters.

For participants:

Your password expires every 60 days. When you log in after 60 days, you will be prompted to provide a new password.
