Profile

 

Update Personal Information Link

Select this link to update personal information that does require supporting documentation. The Maintain Participant Information page displays.

 

Federal Tax ID

The unique 9-digit identification number assigned by the US government for federal tax reporting purposes. This is commonly used for business partners or beneficiary organizations such as trusts and estates; it is not used for a participant's Social Security number.

 

Restrictions

Indicates whether or not the participant has a restriction hold on their account.

 

Restrictions Link

Select this link to view the description of the restriction.  The Participant Restrictions List is displayed.

Communication

 

Undeliverable Column

Indicates if the participant’s address is undeliverable.

 

Undeliverable Date

The date when the respective address or email became undeliverable. If both address and email are incorrect, an undeliverable date will display for each contact information.

Select this link to view and update the primary phone number. The Maintain Participant Address and Communication page displays.

 

Update (Primary E-Mail Address) Link

Select this link to view and update the primary email address. The Maintain Participant Address and Communication page displays.

Select this link to view and update the physical address. The Maintain Participant Address and Communication page displays.

 

Update (Mailing Address) Link

Description

Program - Status

 

Account Type

The type of account the participant has within the program.  A participant may have multiple types of accounts within a program.

 

Member Name

The original member owner of the account that the participant is receiving a benefit from.  If the account belongs to the member, the member’s name is displayed.

 

Member CalPERS ID

The participant’s unique 10-digit identification number assigned by CalPERS.

 

Membership Date

The date of membership.

 

Taxed Contributions

The amount of money contributed on a taxed basis.

 

Tax Deferred Contributions

The amount of money contributed on a before tax basis.

 

Interest on Contributions

The amount of interest earning on the contribution balance.

 

Balance

The total of the taxed contribution, tax deferred contributions and interest on contributions.

 

Service Credit Total

The total service credit that has been posted to the participant’s account. 

 

As Of

The date and time that the Service Credit Total was last updated.

 

24-Month ARP Period

The period of time under which a new state employee is enrolled into the State ARP plan instead of CalPERS First Tier Membership.

 

ARP Election Period

The period during which the ARP election takes place.

 

Last Pay Period

The last pay period.

Program - Status

 

Account Type

The type of account the participant has within the program.  A participant may have multiple types of accounts within a program.

 

Member Name

The original member owner of the account that the participant is receiving a benefit from.  If the account belongs to the member, the member’s name is displayed.

Owner Name

The owner of the account that the participant is receiving a benefit from for Beneficiary Account Types.

Option

The retirement option elected by the participant.

 

Retirement Date

The retirement date of the participant.

 

Last Pay Period

The last pay period of the participant.

 

Retirement Type

The retirement type of the participant.

 

Health Benefit Information

This section displays information about the health benefits you currently receive or have received in the past from CalPERS, including the name of the health plan, the type of coverage, and the name of the original owner of the benefit account.

Program - Status

 

Account Type

The type of account the Participant has within the program.  A Participant may have multiple types of accounts within a Program.

 

Qualifying Participant

The name of the qualifying participant from which the benefit is derived.

 

Subscriber

The name of the Subscriber for Dependent Account Types.

 

Subscriber ID

The CalPERS ID of the Subscriber for the Dependent Account Types.

 

Qualifying Participant CalPERS ID

The CalPERS ID of the qualifying participant from which the benefit is derived. 

 

Plan Name

The name of the plan.

 

Coverage Type

The type of coverage.

This section displays information about the supplemental income program you currently receive or have received in the past from CalPERS, including the balance.

Program - Status

 

Balance

The total of the taxed contribution, tax deferred contributions and interest on contributions.

 

Balance As Of Date

The balance as of the latest date.

 

SIP Identifier

Indicates if the participant currently has SIP.

Employer Column

This column displays the employer to which the employee's benefits are associated.

Employer Link

Select a link to view the history of changes made to the employee's appointment. The Appointment Change History page displays.

Division Column

This column displays the division in which the employee's benefits are associated.

Appointment Type

The type of contributing appointment the participant’s employment was associated with.

Position Title Column

This column displays the employee's current job title at the employer.

Appointment Status Column

This column displays the employee's appointment status with the employer.

Start Date Column

This column displays the start date of the employee's appointment period.

End Date Column

The end date of the employee's appointment period.
